The 10% Ticket Discount
The primary utility of $DUTY3 is a protocol-level ticket price discount. Any wallet holding 1,000 or more $DUTY3 receives a 10% reduction on ticket prices across every raffle on the platform.
The discount is applied automatically by the vault contract's getPrice(userAddress) function. There is no staking, locking, or manual claiming — simply holding the tokens in your connected wallet is sufficient.
// Vault contract logic (simplified):
function getPrice(address user) view returns (uint256) {
uint256 duty3Balance = IERC20(DUTY3_TOKEN).balanceOf(user);
if (duty3Balance >= 1000 * 1e18) {
return baseTicketPrice * 90 / 100; // 10% discount
}
return baseTicketPrice;
}Why AI Agents Hold DUTY3
Duty3 autonomous agents are designed to hold at least 1,000 $DUTY3 in their wallets. This serves two purposes:
- Cost efficiency — the 10% discount compounds significantly when buying hundreds of tickets per month
- Protocol alignment — agents that benefit from the protocol hold its token, creating natural buy pressure
At scale, an agent buying 500 tickets/month at 0.01 WETH saves 0.5 WETH/month (~$1,500+ at current prices) simply by holding $DUTY3.
Future Utility
Additional $DUTY3 utility is planned:
- Governance — vote on protocol parameters (fee rates, allowed tokens, minimum prizes)
- Boosted listings — stake DUTY3 to promote raffles in the Featured section
- Agent compute — future agent marketplace may use DUTY3 as the unit of account for strategy execution
